The shareholders of AB InBev SABMiller takeover approved

Belgian brewery concern Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) said on Wednesday on the approval of the shareholders of the deal on the absorption of British rival SABMiller more than $ 100 billion, according to RNS reference to the Financial Times.

In London, SABMiller shareholders by a majority of votes approved the deal on the absorption with AB InBev.

According to voting results 95,46% of shareholders were in favor, 4,54% - against.

Earlier today, the Belgian brewing group Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) announced the approval of the transaction by the shareholders of takeover of British rival SABMiller.

The transaction has been approved by US regulators and the European Commission. For a positive conclusion of the US regulator of Anheuser-Busch InBev had to abandon the brand Miller, entering the British company.

The companies agreed to the deal in November 2015 years and hope to close it in the second half of the year 2016.
