Dr. for $ 1,7 billion Peppers bought Bai Brands competitor

American company for the production of soft drinks Dr Pepper Snapple Group (Dr. Peppers) has reached an agreement to buy rival Bai Brands for $ 1,7 billion, the company said.

It is expected, according to the RNS, the deal will be closed in the I quarter of the year 2017.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group produces more than 50 brands of soft drinks, among them - Dr Pepper, Snapple, 7UP, Schweppes.

Bai makes the so-called "useful" soft drinks, such as enriched water, coconut juice and iced teas.
