EGAIS reduced the share of illegal vodka at 12,3%

The share of illegal vodka in Russia in total sales since the introduction EGAIS decreased to 7,7% with 20%, reports "RIA Novosti" referring to the Rosalkogolregulirovaniya (PAP).

Since the beginning of July in the Russian retail sale of alcohol are recorded in the Unified State Automated Information System of accounting of production and turnover of alcohol products (EGAIS). During this period, according to PAP, serious progress has been made.

"The number of illegal vodka decreased with 20% to 7,7% as a result of the substitution of legal production. As a consequence, the production of alcoholic beverages increased by 15,1% ", - said in a presentation given at the meeting in the Federation Council.

In addition, according to the agency, the amount of excise tax receipts in the budget for a strong alcoholic beverages increased by 28%.
