EU anti-Russian sanctions will extend for another six months

EU extends for another six months individual sanctions against Russian companies and individuals. This decision was made the permanent representatives of the member states of the European Union. Limitations include the freezing of assets and a travel ban.

The blacklist includes 146 37 people and legal entities.

It clarifies the RIA Novosti, the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) confirmed the Council's intention to renew for 6 months of restrictive EU measures in respect of acts directed against the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

The sanctions will finally be extended after the decision to approve the EU Council.

In April, President Vladimir Putin has predicted such actions: "What else will invent and keep this restriction. So, we will keep appropriate for their food access constraints on our market. "

Relations between Russia and the West have deteriorated because of the events in Ukraine. The US and EU have imposed restrictions - both against individual Russians and for whole sectors of the Russian economy.
