French Ministry of Economy has filed a lawsuit against the Carrefour supermarket chain, accusing the retailer of illegally demand from vendors to deliver part of the goods before concluding the contract, the ministry said.
Ministry transferred the case to court on the basis of the investigation conducted by the Department of the Ministry of Economy of France the DGCCRF, specializing in the suppression of unfair competition and fraud. In February 2016, as part of the investigation into the Carrefour headquarters were raided.
As stated in the ministry, Carrefour before the conclusion of an annual contract required the vendor is mandatory first to put a significant amount of goods "without any obligation on their part."
Carrefour - the largest network of French supermarkets, which occupied at the end of the year 2015, 25% of the order of the French market. In the first nine months of the year 2016 the company's revenue reached € 62,3 billion, 3% higher than the same period of 2015 years.
