Company KDV-groups acquired confectionery factory Ozerskiy Souvenir

One of the largest manufacturers of snacks and confectionery in the country, KDV-Group, is buying the Ozersky Souvenir confectionery complex near Moscow. The transaction value may reach 1 billion rubles.

KDV-Group agreed to purchase the Ozersky Souvenir confectionery in Lakes near Moscow, two sources told Kommersant who were familiar with the negotiations.

According to them, the contract of sale was signed on November 7, closing of the transaction is expected after approval by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). “Ozersky souvenir” is already managed by KDV managers, one of the interlocutors said. According to him, the approximate amount of the transaction is 1 billion rubles. excluding debt (its amount was not disclosed). Managing partner of Walnut Capital (advised Slavyanka confectionery holding in the acquisition of Orkla Brand Russia) Artem Motorny estimated the value of Ozersky Souvenir at 1,4-1,5 billion rubles. The final price could be affected by a drop in sales of premium chocolate products and dried fruits and significant debt, he said. The former owner of Ozersky Souvenir Nisim Nisimov declined to comment; KDV did not respond to Kommersant's request. The FAS has not yet received applications for the purchase of the Ozersky Souvenir, a spokesman for the service said.

KDV-Group includes 11 factories, produces over 300 types of products under the brands Yashkino, Bondi, 3 Koroty, Kiriyoshki and others. The group produces more than 120 thousand tons of confectionery products per year, the source said. "B" in the industry.
