Medvedev: we will keep 5% lending for agriculture

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has promised that the government will keep the lending rate at the level of farmers 5%.

"This is a very difficult decision, but nevertheless we went at him ... and we will try our best to keep for you this figure 5%», - Medvedev said at a meeting with farmers.

He expressed the hope that the low lending rate will create favorable conditions for the development of the industry.

Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said that this rate applies to both investment and short-term loans. «5% - this is guaranteed. Any investment project, a short project, working capital ... I think this rate is optimal. No one but farmers are not credited by 5% », - the prime minister said.
