The Ministry of Health of Russia supports the idea of introducing a tax on sweet drinks, proposed earlier by the Ministry of Finance, the director of the public health and communications department of the Ministry of Health Oleg Salagai told RNS.

Earlier Vedomosti newspaper reported that the Ministry of Finance proposes to introduce excise tax on drinks with sugar and / or other sweetening and flavoring additives in the amount of 5 rubles per liter.
Later, "Vedomosti" reported that the Russian government did not support proposed by the Ministry of Finance are several ways to increase revenues.
