In Moldova Wine recognized conventional product

Moldovan Parliament approved a bill according to which wine is deprived of the status of alcoholic beverage and recognized conventional foods, according to local newspaper Bloknot-moldova.

The author of the initiative became an independent MP Ion Balan.

According to him, appropriate changes will change the structure of consumption of alcohol in Moldova and will help people to give up alcoholic drinks.

The MP also noted that the adoption of the bill will contribute to the development of the country's economy, which has traditionally been associated with winemaking. At the same time, members of the Commission on Human Rights criticized the initiative, saying that it is aimed at liberalization of the market in all alcohol and further increase the volume of consumed alcoholic beverages per capita.
