Healthy Fast Food: 5 the most delicious homemade snacks

An evening with your family watching your favorite movies is one of the best ways to have a good time. This ritual would be incomplete without various goodies, which are so pleasant to crunch while watching the action on the screen.

Who Said Chips Are Bad? If you approach them creatively, you get a wonderful healthy snack. Carrots and beets are well suited for this role and complement each other harmoniously. First, cut the carrots into thin slices and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a brush, brush them with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, ground pepper, coriander and basil. We will bake the carrots in the oven at 165 degrees for 15 minutes on both sides. Observing the technology exactly, we do the same with raw beets. Before serving, place the vegetable chips beautifully on a plate and serve them with sour cream sauce with fresh herbs.

Delicate and delicate chips that literally melt in your mouth are obtained from spinach leaves. To prepare them, you need to rinse and thoroughly dry a bunch of spinach. On a baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the green leaves evenly and sprinkle them with salt, pepper and a mixture of your favorite dry herbs. We bake spinach chips at 180 degrees for no longer than 8 minutes, put them in a bowl and get comfortable in front of the screen.  

Zucchini canapes

Zucchini is a vegetable for all dishes. In addition, it is good in any form, and therefore even a raw food snack will turn out wonderful from it. Let's prepare a simple marinade: mix the juice of one orange, 2-3 cloves of garlic, a piece of ginger root and a pinch of salt in a blender. Cut the zucchini into slices, fill with the resulting marinade and leave for several hours. We also need 4 tbsp. l. sprouts of chickpea, sunflower or green buckwheat. Rinse them thoroughly under cold water and let the excess liquid drain. We move the seedlings into a blender, add a bunch of chopped dill, a few pieces of marinated zucchini and turn all the ingredients into a homogeneous mass. Now let's start serving. We take pickled zucchini circles, put 1 tsp on each. fillings and close with a second circle. Decorate the top with a slice of avocado, a sprig of dill and sprinkle with ground pepper. 

Refreshing shawarma

Vegetable mix combined with pita bread is an ideal snack, preparation of which does not require much effort. Flax seeds will help double the benefits of the dish, a glass of which we will soak in a bowl of water overnight. A mixture of fresh vegetables - carrots, large tomatoes, paprika, cucumbers, grated beets and onions - put in a blender and turn into a homogeneous mass. You can vary the composition with sun-dried tomatoes, avocados and any other vegetables to taste. Garlic and a mixture of aromatic spices will add piquancy to the sauce. It remains to add swollen flax seeds with water to the resulting mass and beat well again with a blender. Now we grease the sheets of pita bread with vegetable filling, wrap them tightly and send them to the oven for 15 minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees. Before serving, the vegetable shawarma can be cut into small rolls.

Crispy cereals

From oatmeal, nuts and dried fruits, you can make not only healthy porridge, but also no less useful granola. In recent years, this trendy dish has become a frequent guest on our tables. In supermarkets you can find a rich assortment of granola with fillings for every taste. However, homemade granola remains unrivaled.

For the classic recipe, we need 2 cups of oatmeal, which we mix with 2 tbsp. l. wheat seedlings, a handful of chopped walnuts and pumpkin seeds, 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar and a pinch of salt. Heat a mixture of 50 ml maple syrup over low heat, 3 tbsp. l. sunflower oil, ½ tsp. ground cinnamon and 1 tbsp. l. water. When the mixture is smooth, pour it over the oatmeal, mix thoroughly and place on a greased baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 130 degrees and send the granola there for 30 minutes. Then let it cool, chop it with your hands and combine with a handful of raisins and dried cherries. Let the granola sit in the oven for another 15 minutes, until golden brown. Maple syrup can be substituted for flower honey in this recipe. Add fresh applesauce, chopped almonds and some fresh ginger to make the granola tastier and richer.

Slimming cookies

Can't give up your favorite cookies? Bran from cereals to help you. This dietary miracle product is able to make almost any dish useful. Bran cookies are just one of them. Take 4 tbsp. l. crumbly oat or rye bran and toss them in a deep bowl with 6 tbsp. l. corn flour. On a fine grater, rub fresh carrots and a couple of green apples. Combine them with flour, and at the same time add 100 g of raisins and a pinch of ground cinnamon and ginger. Knead the dough thoroughly, add a little olive oil and mix again. Now form small neat cookies and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees in advance and keep the oatmeal cookies there for 10 minutes. Then we reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and bake it for another half hour. If you prefer something sweeter, you can replace the apples with bananas, and add dates and dried apricots to the raisins.

Homemade snacks are a healthy alternative to unhealthy goodies and an easy way to cheer you up. Crunch the right fast food to your advantage and don't forget to share it with your loved ones.
