Ingredients

  • 2 Art. pearl barley
  • 4 Art. water (directly for cooking)
  • 2 Art. l. vegetable oil
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 1 bulb
  • 1 Art. l. soy sauce
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Pour the cereal into a fine mesh sieve and rinse thoroughly several times. In a saucepan that fits the sieve in diameter, boil some water. Place a barley sieve on top, cover with a lid and leave to steam over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  • In a thick-walled pan boil 4 Art. water, add a pinch of salt and 1 Art. l vegetable oil. Pour the steamed pearl barley, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and cook for 20 minutes.
  • While the cereal is boiled, Champignon Wash and cut into quarters. Boil the mushrooms in a small amount of water, fold in a colander, and mushroom broth.
  • Peeled onion finely chopped, save in 1 Art. l vegetable oil, add mushrooms and heat 5 – 7 minutes.
  • Mushroom decoction bring it to a boil again, pour soy sauce into it.
  • During cooking, the water in the saucepan with boil should boil off. Pour back the fried mushrooms with onions, stir and pour the mushroom broth. Sweat the dish under the lid on very low heat for another 40 minutes. This, by the way, can be done in the oven.
